James Williams is a lecturer in education at Sussex University. He is a former science teacher, head of department and assistant headteacher, with over 12 years state teaching experience. Since 1997 he has been involved in teacher education, training teachers across key stages 2,3 4 and post 16. He is the co-author of a well known science textbook series, Hodder Science, and a book on management skills. He is a regular contributor to the TES magazine.
