I've recently got a Wii and was wondering if any one had any bright ideas on how to use it in the classroom, it looks like it has loads of potential for getting the children interested and motivated.

I was hoping for some ideas for KS2, any ideas would be fantastic!

    Thanks!

I've thought about doing this too as it would be great to help with coordination etc. The reason why I decided against it was becasue so many of them have them at home already - I didn't want them to realise how helpful it could be in case they stopped playing! It might be uncool if they saw me on my balance board! Also - if it does get broken, as things do, I would be gutted!

I brought my Wii into school on the last day of term as a treat (KS1). We just about got through every member of the class having a turn as part of a team of 4 either bowling (5goes each) or a couple of games of doubles tennis.

Great fun but it took so long to set them up, reconnect wiimotes etc that i'm not sure it would really be pratical to use as a tool in the classroom. There is of course the cost and parental perception of using a 'game' as part of the curriculum to consider too...

I was hoping to use them to inspire the children, maybe in writing...

Thinking of maybe using them to give the children a fresh perspective.
