I am a Secondary-trained teacher who, by hook or by crook, has managed to work my way down the age ranges from Secondary via Year 5, Year 1 and Reception to Nursery Education. I now have an interview at a day nursery, which I am thrilled about, but I have been told I will have a half hour session with a group of six 3-4 year olds, with no brief whatsoever. I thought that this freedom would make things easy, but as I don't know the children or the nursery or the resources available, I can see that it's a more difficult task than I thought. I find it easy to get on with nursery children and get them onboard with activities pretty well, but I want to really impress here, and do something original and exciting that's going to make the interviewer think I'm the only one for the job - any ideas??
