Does anyone have any good coursework topic ideas that pupils usually do well at and that usually acheive higher grades? I have done 'My school / Holidays / Health' but want some pupils to redo to try for higher marks but I'm not sure of any other topics that work well as these are the 3 we always do at my school.

Work experience yields good results for more able candidates as does a profile of a celebrity.

Thanks I think I'll try this - which topic would it come under, Media topic?

How can they incorporate the different tenses into a celebrity profile though?

    Yes, celebrities is media.

You can get round the tenses bit by doing a description etc in the present tense, childhood in the imperfect or last year etc in the preterite and put in a bit about future plans.

As usual, MFL Sunderland comes up trumps

All of ours who have written a book/film review/report have gone on to get A/A* .........  but this may just be because they are the more intelligent students?????
