    Hello all

I am being encouraged to apply for QTLS status by my college.  I have been teaching for 8 years, hold a degree in my subject and have at least level 2 for maths and numeracy.  I achieved a Certificate in Education in 2002, will the CertEd meet the requirments for QTLS?

Thank-you in advance for any feedback.

Contact SVUK and give them the full details of the exact course you completed, when and where, and they will confirm whether or not it meets the teaching standard for QTLS.

From memory I think the Cert Ed does meet all the requirements but you can easily check just go on the SVUK site; there is a grid that shows all qualifications and then the requirements mapped against them.
