Hello everyone - I've posted this on the linking schools forum too, but hopefully you outdoor bods might have some bright ideas too!

Does anyone know where would be the best place to find a partner school in the UK with an interest in starting a linked project about forest schools/gardening club. I'm leading the global schools side of my school's curriculum, and as part of the different communities aspect we would like to find a UK link too.

Or (she says optimistically...) is there anyone on here who would be willing/interested to start up a link. No real concerns over type of school/catchment area etc - would really like to find a meaningful link rather than just ticking another box!

Any responses/ideas would be really welcome :)

Hi are you primary or secondary?

What exactly would the linking up involve?

Sorry for the delay - am having internet issues!

I was fairly vague because I'm not 100% sure what I had in mind myself... But having had a chat with a colleague about it we thought it would be interesting to find a link with a school who are in the early stages of developing their outdoor space or implementing forest schools or both.

We thought it would be good to perhaps swap photos of what we are doing, perhaps staff and children could review activities they had carried out, maybe even agree a small project to run in both schools and keep some kind of email /snail mail communication link.

Did that make any more sense? Tongue Tied

(oh and I meant 'schools linking forum' not 'linking schools forum')

Oops! Sorry about that! We're a Junior school in south Hampshire - on the south coast opposite the Isle of Wight.  I'm very interested by the idea and think it would be great for children to appreciate life beyond their own school!
