Do your research as to the good schools in the areas you are looking at.  BBC Newshas a good Education page where you can gain an overview of the local schools.  Then go and chat with the agencies and find out which schools they target.  Also try and find out what their aim is.  Is it just to get bums on seats or are they looking for the longer term relationship with the school and looking for longer term supply posts.  It is with the latter that you are more likely to end up with a job.

There are good agencies out there.  Just persevere.

    Good luck.
