I should love to have support and encouragement to lose the excess weight I am carrying, but cannot be a diet buddy to anyone who only put on 2lbs over Christmas or who is fretting about being just over 81/2 stone.(sorry girls).

If, like me you should be trying to lose 3-4 stones, would you like to try together? I can do it if I have someone to battle with.

Happy to share food tips or whatever.

I could be too - am trying to be good but with chocs still around its not going too well so far. I am only 5 foot 3 so since i am weighing at over 13 stone i think I qualify.

I have in the region of 6 stone to lose to become "ideal" weight.

However, I'm aiming to lose about half that....

    I'll start:

I am 5'4 , 58 years old and weigh 14.10 which is way overweight I know. I have been laid up for a while after having had a hysterectomy and put on a stone, but that is no excuse really.

My main downfall is comfort eating and it's always sweet things. I am absolutely determined to lose 3 stone and anything else will be a bonus! I have recently taken on a dog so am walking lots.....in fact in the last week I have lost 3lbs so exercise is working.

Also, at the moment I am cutting back on carbs (not cutting out) and eating lots of veg, salads and grilled chicken. That is ,I am trying to but Mr C wants 'proper food' which is hard to resist andI really don't want to cook two meals every night.

So, how about we have a weekly weigh in, lots and lots of encouragement and offer one another support.

Plymouthmaid - throw those chocolates away! I gave my christmas cake away so that I couldn't eat it . MrC was livid. ha ha.

     Hello All,

I have had an erm interesting year and gone from a size 16/18 (ok overweight but I was happyish) to 24/26.

I want to do something about this.. due to other health issues exercise is out.. (housebound and use wheelchair) and am exercise intolerant so I am having to do it all with food control.

I  have started by increasing fruit and veggies... getting my carer on side with portion sizing and we are decreasing slowly and trying to resist the urge to comfort eat when I have a bad patch.

It will be slow going for me but I sem to have stabilised and at least stopped getting bigger.

Hi, please can I join this I have lost 3 stone already (had a baby last Feb) but I still have several stone to go.

I had two c-sections one four years ago and one in feb. I never did lose weight from the first baby. I just made up excuses to not bother, like I am going to have another baby so I will sort it out then. Well the time came in June when I got on the scales at 16 stone, I am 5.6 feet high, so I am still overweight.

I have have lost the inital weight through lowish carbs and portion control. I did slip over xmas, but I am back to control now.

Please let me join as I have hit a period were I am struggling to move the weight, I am not 12 stone 13lb and should be 10 stone. Though in reality I don't know if I will make this!

    Good luck all

    GEO
