I've just been recommended this trilogy by a friend and can't put it down. I'm half way through the second book. Has anyone else read it? I think it's technically for teenagers, but it's still fab. What does anyone think of it?

They are good aren't they? Have read them all. If you like them try naughts and crosses trilogy by Malorie Blackman if you haven't already.

I loved these books but they're certainly not for the faint-hearted. Suzanne Collins created characters that you really care about. Wait until you get to Mockingjay - there are some shocking moments in it. This makes me want to re-read them all over again.

Yes, really good reads. Enjoyed in our house by adults and teenagers- I hate these divisions - good book = good book.

I absolutely loved this trilogy! I often read teenage stuff, really enjoyed the Young Bond ones and Artemis Fowl too.

Going to check Amazon for Noughts and Crosses!

I thought this series was fantastic!! I really enjoyed the story telling and am looking forward to the film version. Donald Sutherland is going to be playing President Snow!

Oh exciting! I can't wait to see how they do it. I don't think it will compare to what I imagine though when I'm reading. I'm half way through Mockingbird now, and deliberately reading slowly and taking breaks because I don't want to finish it!

Wow, I've just finished Mockingjay. I wish it hadn't finished, I almost want to go back and start them again.

It went down very well with a Year 9 group. The film comes out on March 24th next year but there is a really good fan film of the death of Rue on YouTube. The girl who played Katniss in this actually auditioned for the film but I think they had already decided on who they wanted. It's a really good trilogy and I gather they plan to make more than one film, too. It has been tipped as the next 'hot' think after HP.
