With no blaze of publicity TES added a DfE forum on here where the DfE will answer all our questions (or not!).

The DfE forum is the dedicated space where the DfE will answer your questions on a range of issues and policy changes that will impact on your school.

Why not also visit the NEW DfE TES page to find all the latest news, guidance, Q&A and resources from the DfE.

I see, after sending a message to them, that posts to the DfE forum have to be approved by a moderator- I'm still waiting for my post to appear, so is that moderated by TES or by DfE? That could be another way of not answering questions .....

Sorry for any confusion - apparently it was (and my further posts currently still are) being moderated because I am a new user to that particular forum, and not because the DfE regulate what appears.

     The message I got reads:

"You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.

If the administrator has configured this forum to support email notifications you will receive an email when your post is either approved or denied (if you have emails enabled in your profile)."

Apologies for any suggestion that the DfE are censoring their pages.

ClerktoG, I guess you saw the question I posted on DfE forum Dear TES, Moderation of posts on DfE Forum and TES reply. As I understand it from their reply there are two forums on here where new members who have only recently registered with TES Forums get their posts pre-moderated "for a time" (until TES decide what? No idea!). The two forums are the DfE Forum and the Personal Forum. Presumably in case the very mention of the words DfE drives new members to desparate measures. Governors Forum isn't pre-moderated so your posts appear here immediately. Incidentally I just found what's presumably an IT loophole on here. If you click on the number of posts shown underneath your name on any post that is already appearing it lists all your posts including the ones still waiting for moderation! (Click on the actual number that appears after 'Posts')

I see that my posts on the DfE Forum are still being moderated (presumably with a few days' delay if they only check or respond twice a week) but Rottweiler's weren't. Does RW have a by for being especially sensible and reliable (or scary)?

Q How did I get "Trusty" status? Will my posts ever be allowed through or am I deemed to need to go through clearance for ever?

Note: If I only have three minutes to edit a post but it doesn't show up for three days, how do I check if a horrid little spelling mistake has crept in to tarnish my precious words?

And with even less of a blaze of publicity DfE have abandoned it 10 weeks later after a torrent of critical questions, with the laughable claim that closing the DfE forum will improve the way they can answer questions!
