The wonders of technology, just found out that I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant with my second baby, my cycle is so punctual that I knew a day or so after they were due both times.  Feel very grateful that we've been given another baby, know its early days but overjoyed!!

Congratulations!!  I am nearly 6 weeks and was looking forward to someone starting one of these threads but was too nervous to do it myself (I misacrried in the Spring).  Having a scan next week so will feel much calmer after that if it goes well.  Did you figure out your due date yet?  How are you feeling?

Hi. Can I join? By my reckoning I'm due on 9th June. It will be our first.

I hope everything goes okay for you this time ms media.

I am 7 weeks today, so baby is the size of a blueberry- hooray.

How is everyone feeling?  I have sore boobs, cramping sensations every so often, nausea but no sickness. Have gone off food completely, only a couple of things that I can stomach. Bizarre as I have always loved all food!!

     xx

I'm due May 23rd so I'm kind of the inbetweeny between Sprin and Summer. Have had a fair few scans already - bubs was measuring 8+2 yesterday (so slightly behind and has been ordered to have a little growth spurt in the 2 weeks before I'm back there again). I get weekly scans (apart from next week when the consultant's away) because of previous miscarriages - my EPU are fantastic like that.

Only food I've gone completely off, and have done every time I'm pregnant consistently is chocolate! Not much nausea, just incredibly sore boobs and dizzy spells that aren't down to anemia, or blood pressure now I've finally managed to get that checked - defeated every machine in the health centre at booking in appointment (I've done this in the past - they just error out on me) and in the end the midwife resorted to saying, "Look you're at the EPU next week - ask them if they can do your blood pressure for your notes cos I give up!"

    Thanks SuperHan.

I've had to sneak out of a class to eat nuts as I was so hungry this morning but then felt very nauseous 20 mins later walking through the canteen where they'd been frying the fish and chips.

Nausea increasing a little I think, though focusing on it so much I now don't know if I'm imagining it.  I seem to only notice it when I think of it and more so at home!

Tummy tender and quite swollen already - I think its the progesterone though (IVF).  Weeing a lot and super tired but that's quite normal for me.  Boobs not doing much yet.

Misterflibble, sounds like yours is doing well now you're past the 8 week mark.  Great they're scanning you so often.  Best of luck after all your sadness.

Have the rest of you been to the GP/midwife yet?  As I'm with a fertility clinic, they are monitoring me but not sure at what point I need to start with the antenatal checks.  Was thinking I'd go next week after my scan if I'm still pregnant.

Booked and paid for the NCT classes though already as I live in babyland and the places go so quickly.

I didn't see the GP at all, spoke to the midwife on the phone when I discovered I was pregnant and didn't want to make an appointment for booking-in straight away till I was sure it was a viable pregnancy so she knew I would be contacting her slightly late (her clinics book up like crazy) and she'd agreed to make provision to see me out of clinic hours if they were booked up when the time came. Booking-in I did at 8 weeks exactly according to dates (was 7+5 on measurements). I held off contacting her formally to make an appointment until I'd had a scan with a probably heartbeat (I'm hard to scan cos I've got a retroverted uterus).

There's a collossal relationship breakdown between me and my GP though so I avoid him like the plague.

Still fretting slightly that mine's grown less last week than the week before though - got two weeks to stew on this one and panic.

Thanks, good to know - will call the midwife next week after my scan.

Try not to worry - all babies end up different sizes don't they so I'm sure just a couple of says out is not a biggie - especially if you're hard to scan.  I don't know how they can be so precise with their measurements when the image is fuzzy anyway.  Heartbeat is the main thing and I don't know if it was you or someone else on here that pointed out most miscarriages happen before 8 weeks.

I'm superstitiously not opening my 'What to Expect' book until after I've seen a heartbeat!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and hope your feeling okay as this must be an exciting but slightly anxious time for you.  Is it an early scan your getting?  I'm feeling great, had a good first pregnancy and only suffered slight nausea which I controlled with eating fruit and crackers regularly (in class).  I think my due date will be the first week in July but spoke to a health visitor this morning who thinks I'll have an elective section.  Even though its my second baby I still feel amazed that I have another being growing inside me, beautiful:-)

Got my BFP an hour ago but have suspected for days now. Due date is 3rd July so only just four weeks pregnant. Over the moon about it but also scared senseless. I have an 18mth old little boy (born at 34wks) but had a missed miscarriage before him and another just before Easter this year. Other half has gone out; he snapped at me earlier and I burst into tears which is not like me, so now I can blame the hormones.

FIngers crossed for lots of sticky beans on this forum. x
