    Good evening folks,

How do you differentiate your lessons for more able students (G + T)?

Hoping to get a thread going for all of us to share our methods of pushing our more able students.

Why would a Cover Supervisor need to differentiate?   Why would you need to be pushing any students, surely that is the Teachers job?

Good question. I was hoping to generate some good practise on this forum.

I am hoping to do my pgce asap and want to put together a range of methods ready for my training!

You thinking of bringing anything useful to the party phat? or are you going to snipe and distribute "cheap shots" on support staff?

I'm going to suggest you first of all secure a place on a training scheme.  I suggest you don't go for one that isn't a shortage subject.   Once you have secured a place on a training scheme, I will offer all the help in the world.

I will also wish you the best of luck as the subjects you would like to teach have quite a lengthy queue of  unemployed teachers, ie Social Sciences and ICT.   However if you have a 1st, Upper 2nd, Masters or PhD you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

So did I until I began to read down the threads. I was not finding much information so I decided to create one of my own topics. How do you differentiate in teh classroom? Differentation by outcome or differentiation by resourcing?

As a CS you don't need to differentiate.

This post suggest you are a teacher, You refer to 'us sharing our methods', how can you have any methods to share when you are not and have never been a teacher.   I really hope you are not attempting to teach any children.   They are entitled to more than that.

There's no harm in sharing good practise.
