I have been invited to a cover supervisor interview and one of the tasks is to: "complete a comprehension question together with a model answer on the board". It seemed quite simple but I thought, if I do a sample answer on the board, then the learners would know the answer and would not need to do it again? Would it be appropriate to work through a model answer with the class and have them copy it to their books? Many Thanks

Definitely not one of your duties as a cover supervisor.  That sounds like its checking your presentation abilities.  Doesnt sound like cover work to me ...
