    I use aspects of FOW. I like the pictures that children add to with plasticine and the litle books are great too. My class has really enjoyed both this year.

    My HT would like us to use it as she thought it was great 20 years ago, in a different era!!! I do occasionally use some of the black pen drawing ideas.

    I don't even live or work in Scotland but many years ago, we used FofW big time in the school where I work.

    Time passed
    heads came and went
    so did government initiatives
    I changed Key stage

    Guess what?? this year we are bringing it back - or aspects of it!!

    Really excited - it's what the kids need. The drawings especially seriously raised our level of talk, writing and handwriting.!!

    So glad you asked - just typing up notes on scribing: have handouts for newbies if anyone is interested!
