I am considering applying for a teaching post in a referall unit. The only thing that is putting me off is the concern that such a move would make it difficult to return to a mainstream school in the future if I wished to. I have been teaching for 10 years and have had a variety of experience including HoD and head of year. I would appreciate any advice on this please.
What sort of post might you want to return to, and how might this job help you acquire that job? If the experience isn't going to help your career why are you considering the move anyway?
