Hi, I've recently started my teacher training. Please can someone explain to me what the difference is between continuous provision with a theme and enhanced provision? Is enhanced provision more adult led or adult initiated? I understand about continuous provision, adult initiated and adult led activities but I'm not sure how enhanced provision fits in and what exactly it is. Thanks, Rachael
Continuous provision are the resources that are always there, Enhanced provision is when resources that are added to Continuous Provision which match the topic or the interests of children…..http://www.birthtofive.org.uk/pdf/provision%20definitions%20_2_.PDF
Thank you for that, I googled it but couldn't find anything that made it clearer.
Try looking on Durham Early Years site at Long Term Plans it gives possible enhancements to continuous provision.
