    Hi All,

I currently tech BTEC Health and Social Care up to level 3 (both teenagers and mature learners).  I have the Anat & Phys unit coming up soon as my knowledge of thsi area is very limited, hving not studied science since I left school over fifteen years ago.

Can anybody suggest any refresher courses in this area or opportunities to update the currency of my specialist subject knowlegde to include A&P.

    Thanks in advance

     Hi Sarah.

Have you tried any of the PE sites for A level/GCSE resources? You may not need much more.

Starting with the resources here on TES...

    PEshare

    http://www.teachpe.com/anatomy/

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wilson-Anatomy-Physiology-Health-Illness/dp/0702032271/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1367830190&sr=1-1&keywords=anatomy+and+physiology+book

I have taught that unit (many moons ago) and would recommend an A level biology or PE book or one like the Amazon link. You won't need more.

You could always keep coming back here or pm me for specifics.

Thank you! I was hoping that a quick read up of A Level texts or similiar would be enough, but you know what it is like when the normal tutors for that group are a tad 'protective' and tell you that you need a much higher level of understanding..

Thanks for the link, will have a gander now :)
