Is it a case of no news is good news or are we all quietly munching away hoping no one will notice.

    Lol Big Smile

Mines plodding away slowly. Now 19lb down but have had a weeks holiday since my last post (good on you lindenlea if you can stick to fruit & salads!!)

I found the new weight watchers didn't work too well for me, still doing quite well on myfitnesspal and like the online support (and the fact its free! lol) Start my new job on Monday so hoping the fixed hours will help my fitness routine.

Congratulations Plymouth Maid!! Hows everyone else? x

I was wodering how everyone was. Is it a case of no news is good news or are we all quietly munching away hoping no one will notice.

I'm just trying to maintain at the moment.  The problem that I had when I reached goal was reaching a plateau.  I was so worried about putting weight on that I continued losing.

I put some on over Easter which included my birthday, and have managed to shift back down from there again.  I am finding the maintaining easier than I thought I would.  I think that's because I am keeping up the exercise regimen.

Are you exercising Plymouth Maid?  I think that really helped to speed up my loss.  I also speeded it up by not really using my extra 49 points a week.  I used the exercise points to give me the capacity for meals out and a few drinks at the weekend.

I am not exercising enough I know as I have very little time on a weekday and my silly ex-gym have cancelled the saturday classes which I always attended so only really manage a couple of walks a week and a lot of stairs at work.. Am considering not eating the 49 weeklies but have a feeling that i will be so very hungry then and existing on miniscule portions as 26 a day dont go far do they?

I was only on the 26 points a day right at the very end.  I only survived by stretching them out with the free fruit and veg.  I had a banana every day, plus a pear for lunch and mango or cherries if I wanted a treat.

Yes I tend to have a nana most days and blueberries in the porridge etc. I am not a nibbler between meals but have an absolute mountain of brocolli with dinner usually. More exercise is the answer - i am not quite as lazy as i sound as I forgot to say that i do go down the allotment each weekend. I suppose the only consolation is that since i started on 26 points, they cant go any lower.

I signed up to WW on line yesterday and am on 26 a day (plus 49 weeklies).

This is really the only way ahead. I lost a lot earlier this year but it all went back on, mostly in liquid form I fear!

I don't want to lose a lot, but I clearly need some structure to achieve it and have been inspired by Bombay's success.

Ah, excellent Plymouthmaid. You can maybe help me when I get stuck with all the online stuff. Seems a bit of a nightmare TBH!

You will soon get the hang of it. I have found it helpful to do the pp for my favourite recipes such as spag bol, curry etc so I can just add them to the tracker. Takes a little time but saves hassle in the long run.

Good luck to you Belle & PlymouthMaid.

I found the online tracking really helpful.  I entered my favourite recipes into the recipe builder.  As well as saving them, it meant that I could tweak quantities and portion sizes to make a healthier version of regular favourites.

I am still using it now.  I have to pay for that bit but I have just replaced my wardrobe with size 12s.  I can't afford for my new clothes not to fit!

myfitnesspal does all that for free... before anyone else spends money on WW I'd suggest giving it a go. I've found it a godsend for helping me.

(And if you really do want to do WW you can get cashback through Topcashback if you're a newbie) x

Am doing quite well on WW.

Keeping to my 26 points, but had 6 spare yesterday, and only dipped into 1 of my 49 extras. I suspect the other 48 will go over the weekend but that's ok by me.

Am off to a Zumba class tonight and really looking forward to it. Hope it will help my insomnia too!

Zumba class was amazing. Very hard work but great fun! And I got 14 exercise points from WW (not sure what that means yet but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it)

Back from 5 days at a 4* hotel in Spain - buffet type restaurant. Brilliant for weight watchers. I've only put on 3/4 lb (Party)and I really enjoyed the food - loads of fruit , salad and veg and because it was all so delicious I (mostly)resisted the cakes / bread / cheese that also looked gorgeous. I never felt i was denying myself anything so I'm delighted. Btw - it rained for three days and was wall to wall sun for two and a half but that's what you get for going away in April.

Belle the activity points are extra points you can eat if you wish but obviously your weight loss is likely to be more if you leave them alone.

Well, after one week on WW online and a Zumba class I have lost 4lbs. I am delighted! The thing is, I've not felt hungry not have I felt I've missed out on anything. In fact, this weekend I had an lovely roast dinner plus fruit crumble and a few glasses of wine.

I'd recommend WW to anyone and can see how Bombay did so well on it.

Got my 4.5 stone award at SW today. The weekend was quite hard as it was my mom's 80th birthday, and I had a buffet on Friday and a meal out on Saturday to contend with. The really annoying thing is that I'm still in the obese category!! On the positive side, I now fit into size 16 which I haven't done for at least 15 years! (This time last year, I was squeezing into a size 22).

Congratulations Lardylady.  If you are going to stick to a weight loss programme then it is important that you can attend some special events and still lose, even if it is just a tiny bit.

How much more do you plan to lose?

Good to hear that WW is working for you Belle.  Be ready for a smaller loss next week.  I tended to have a very good week followed by a less good one but the overall rate of loss was still good.

Yes. I'm sure it will be but so long as it's a loss and not a gain I shall be happy.

Am going to Zumba tomorrow and might also try to go Wednesday.
