Divide the salary by 1265 hours.

Divide by 975 to get the full hourly rate.  That way if you are at a school for a full day, and are paid for 5 contact hours, you will receive the full daily rate which is worked out as annual salary divided by 195 school days.

The rate includes pro-rata holiday pay.

The idea of the proper hourly/daily rate only applies to LA paid supply teaching.

If your LA only pays on the 1265 division and only forks out for the lesson times, not for staff briefings, morning break or after school time, don't provide them with more than 5 hours of your service on a day's booking as that's all they're paying you for.  They can't count the morning break as Directed Time or expect you to stay to write handover notes, mark work, or write up incident reports.
