If you work in any aspect of school administration then you should join the TES School Administration group. You’ll find jobseeking advice, discussion on pay and conditions and chat about the latest issues in the world of school admin.
My feeling is that they are not viewing your voluntary job as proper experience - you will be competing with people who are already in paid admin work and I guess this will be seen as more desirable. I think you've done very well to even get an interview. You are probably up against LOTS of other applicants too; things are very competitive at the moment. Good luck and dont give up.
I think you should... well, do you have a friend who works in school? It helps to have a friend around. To tell you what's wrong and nudge you to the right path.
There's a new girl in admin. I help her out. I don't know her. Sometimes, I think she's not sincere but I am very nice and kind to her. I know and still remember what's it like to be new.
