Just looking for some advice for a friend.

Her local catholic primary school is changing their admissions policy next year (when her eldest son is due to start) and he will no longer be elligble for a place based on the RC parish that he belongs to. He is outside the school's catchment area and has been told that he will fall into the last admissions criteria.

The catholic school that she NOW falls under the catchment for is a 40 minute + walk/bus/walk journey.

She has been told by another parent that due to the fact both her and her husband work full time and her son will be in the care of his grandmother both before and after school, she can put his grandmother's address on the admission form (her address is within the school's catchment area) and her son would be travelling from and to this address each school day.

Any advice comments will be gratefully received. Smile
