Debate the Curriculum for Excellence and all aspects of the Scottish curriculum in this Group. This is also the place to get advice from your peers on the most effective way to implement the curriculum
Hi all,
I'm interested to find out how primary schools are implementing TIOF. The planning exemplars on the SCES website are useful but I'm struggling to see how the large number of Es and Os can be condensed into something remotely manageable (particularly at Second Level) for teachers to use on a weekly or termly basis.
Whilst we could all work through a copy of the Es and Os for our stage, I'm thinking about producing a pack which is more useful for staff i.e. 'suggested actvities', 'resources', opportunities for Outdoor/IDL, 'Assessment' etc etc. Whilst the exemplars online look good, it would take an age to replicate these for all three levels in the primary school so where does that leave us? I'm thinking we could simply choose a variety of Es and 0s for each of the 8 strands of faith but as I read through the TIOF document, nowhere do I see that we don't necessarily have to cover EVERY strand so your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.
