Personally know of a few who due to the EIS SOA, pay freeze and a prospective 20% cut to conserved salary who are doing their main job plus various others to keep family and home going. They look exhausted. It would be interesting to see how many others are in the same boat.

I can see where they are coming from. It really is not possible to earn a decent salary as a supply teacher now when you consider you can only work 5 hrs a day in term time on the lowest rate. I can't imagine how exhausting it must be being a permanent teacher doing this, but with pay freezes, increased costs of living, cuts to conserved salaries and pension increases I can see why they have to do it.

I'm full time and having to do an extra job to keep my home due to the increased cost of living and the pay freeze. At the same time, I am being asked to write courses for August when I am working most of the summer!
