any predictions or reactions?
All I know is some time after 0915 today. Keeping an eye on websites TES, BBC, ACTS, Scottish Gov't and Twitter.

“We should aspire to a vision of teaching as a masters level profession and we will do so by building on the Chartered Teacher scheme. I have therefore set the National Partnership Group the task of bringing forward proposals to deliver opportunities for teachers to work towards masters level qualifications. Chartered Teachers and those in the process of becoming Chartered Teachers should be given credit for the work that they have already undertaken and will be among the first to access these opportunities for masters qualifications.
Erm has someone failed to mention to him that the CTs who followed the programme route have a ......MASTERS DEGREE and that this degree is in advanced professional studies!
Does he really think that having already done one of them then suffered the indignity of the McCormac review that we will jump at the chance to do another one.
The full report is to be published tomorrow I do wonder what further gems it might contain.
It does seem somewhat odd doesn't it barbie!
Thanks for the opportunity to work towards a Master's, Mr R - when I've got it I'll, er, put it on the mantelpiece with the one I've already got. Mind you, Professor McCutmac and yourself have deemed that one worthless so it'll be nice to have a shiny new one.
And this time, you'll be paying for it ... won't you?
thanks for that
I am a bit confused really-if CT have completed a masters or even the GTC route is he asking that they should become mentors or go off and do another masters ?
did nobody tell him that the module route already was a masters
confused or what
ctglasEIS was the only union represented at the ACTS conference and the first to post disagreement on the statement. What have SSTA and NAS/UWT to say.....?
The SSTA was represented at the conference and are actively supporting chartered teachers.
Is there further clarification of the following statement anywhere?
Chartered Teachers and those in the process of becoming Chartered Teachers should be given credit for the work that they have already undertaken and will be among the first to access these opportunities for masters qualifications.
