Just started supply

  • post reply

Hi, after working in a school for many years, most of them as a Nursery Nurse.I  completed GTP at the school, I already had a degree . The HT a friend previously before being promoted, started to  treat me dreadfully. I have left the school as there wasn't ,allegedly,a teaching job ( but one was found for some one else) and I couldn't take being treated that way any more. Now on supply. I usually have about 2/3 days a week but find it hard going into the staffroom.I am friendly and out going and often at lunch times have helped other staff with jobs such as sticking in books, looking up things for them.I need the work, but am starting to dread the phone ringing. I feel my confidence starting to go. I have been on supply just over 2 months.

My question is does it get any easier or is there any thing I can do to help. I am a mature but certainly not out of touch. I also have not completed my NQT year. I am in Wales so I think I have 5 years to do it in.

The HT is now treating other staff the way she treated me. Thanks for reading.
